3rd Annual Foscoe Fly Fishing Festival – August 14, 2010
We are extremely excited about our Fly Fishing Festival Saturday, August 14th from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. We will be offer casting clinics all day, free seminars, fly tying demonstrations, raffles and food. There will also be a kids corner for the children. The seminar titles are, Smallmouth fishing in the region, tailwater trout techniques and small stream fishing. Please come by the shop for all the festivities! Schedule of Events
Casting Clinics:
Robert Bryant with the Orvis Company in Manchester, Vermont will be hosting casting clinics throughout the day. Come cast the new Hydros rod and the famous Helios. The Watauga River is conveniently located behind the shop for on stream demonstrations!
Smallmouth Fishing |11:00 am – 12:00 pm:
Orvis Endorsed Guide Jay Waide will discuss the opportunities, techniques and gear for successful smallmouth fishing in the region.
Tailwater Trout 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm:
Orvis Endorsed Guides Pace Cooper and Matt Maness will talk about where, when and how to fish these productive rivers located just down the road in Tennessee.
Small Stream Fishing 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm:
Orvis Endorsed Guide Tyler Almond will discuss the many opportunities for wild brown, rainbow and brook trout as well as the tools and techniques to fish these streams successfully.
Kids Corner:
Bring your children by the activity tent to learn how much fun fishing can be!
Fly Tying:
Stop by the tying tables and learn tips and techniques from the guides that fish our waters everyday.
