Our local wade trip take place on both wild and hatchery supported trout streams and rivers in the immediate area of our shop. While walking along some of the most pristine waters in the High Country, you will have the opportunity to catch rainbow, brown and maybe even a wild brook trout. There are two rivers to fish for Smallmouth Bass. The Holston Proper offers everything from large limestone shoals to lengthy grass flats that give the fish many places to hide and ambush. The Nolichucky offers anglers the ability to encounter smallmouth, trout and the occasional musky that make their home in the gin clear waters of this great river. We encourage everyone to review the regulations for the waters you plan to fish to ensure that you are in compliance. What Should I Bring With Me?
We take care of all your trip arrangements, but you’ll still need to bring some stuff with you. If you don’t have some of these items, we will have most of them available to purchase in our retail store or you can buy them ahead of time at our online store.
- Rain jacket
- Snacks (half day trips)
- Water Bottle
During our winter fishing season, we also recommend you follow these preparation guidelines for clothing:
- Dress in layers. We have a great video on layering clothes you should watch.
- Wear fingerless gloves
- Bring a fleece or wool hat
