Local Half Day Wade Trip:
Our local wade trip take place on both wild and hatchery supported trout streams and rivers in the immediate area of our shop. While walking along some the most pristine waters in the High Country you will have the opportunity to catch rainbows, browns and maybe even a wild brook trout. This trip is perfect for the beginner or someone who can’t spend the whole day on the water. Our guides are all Orvis Endorsed instructors and are willing to spend as much time as needed with fly fishing instruction. If it is a morning trip then you will leave the shop at 9:15am and return around 1:15pm. Afternoon trips leave around 1:30pm and return at 5:30pm. Local Full Day Wade Trip:
Our full day local wade trip also takes place on wild and hatchery supported trout streams however this trip allows the guide to take you to places that could not be reached with the time allowed on a half day trip. You will also be able to fish an assortment of great locations if the conditions allow. We will leave the shop around 9am and will return about 5:30pm. Lunch is provided on this trip, along with all the fishing tackle and equipment you will need on your adventure. Fishing license not included. ( Click here for rates )

Local Private Water Wade Trip:
We offer full and half day wade trips to private managed trophy trout water in our area. This trip provides anglers exclusive access to streams that are managed just for the production of trophy trout. The fish in these streams range from 20 to 30 inches and are known for testing the skills of most anglers. Due to the exclusiveness of this trophy water there is an additional rod fee added to the guided trip price. ( Click here for rates )

TN Tail Water Wade Trip:
The South Holston and the Watauga tail waters are known as some of the most famous and complex trout fisheries in the South. A wade trip to these rivers is a full day and includes a lunch. Typically we will leave the shop around 8am and return between 5 and 6pm. These rivers are only about an hour from the shop, we are very fortunate to be in such close proximity of these two renowned rivers. These rivers will be your best shot at getting into trophy Brown and Rainbow trout. All equipment is provided. TN licenses will be purchased on the drive to the river. ( Click here for rates )

TN Tail Water Float Trip: Float two of the best rivers on the East Coast
We use McKenzie style drift boats to float down both the Watauga and South Holston rivers in Eastern Tennessee. These boats are arranged with a roe seat in the middle for the guide and comfortable fishing seats in the front and back for one or two anglers. Floating these rivers is a highly effective tactic because you can cover much more water than if you were wading. It is also more convenient during high water conditions. This is excellent trip to target trophy trout or have the opportunity to have a high fish count. You will leave the shop around 8am and return between 5 and 6pm. Halfway through the trip your guide will pull the boat up on shore and will set up a nice lunch with comfortable seating for you. What is a Tail Water?
Tail water fisheries are created at the outflow from large dams. The Constant cold water flow provided by the reservoirs outflow, coupled with the generally silt free nature of the outflow creates ideal water conditions for a robust trout population.

Guide Trips for Smallmouth:
Holston Proper

The Holston Proper is a smallmouth fishery that offers anglers year round opportunities. Spring, Summer, and Fall are the primary fishing seasons, but there are numerous respectable fishing days throughout the Winter. It is one of the most varied smallmouth rivers you will ever cast a line on.

The Holston Proper offers everything from large limestone shoals to lengthy grass flats that give the fish many places to hide and ambush.

Smallmouth trips down the Holston Proper offer great experiences for everyone from the beginner to the hard-core smallmouth angler.

At first sight, anglers are always surprised at the size of this water. With a number of sections nearing 200 yards in width, it is quite possibly one of the largest smallmouth rivers in the Southeast. Because of the limited access points on the Holston Proper, anglers should be prepared for an extended day of fishing.

Nolichucky River Fishing

From its origin in North Carolina at the confluence of the Toe and Cane Rivers, the "Chucky", as the locals call it, comes out of the rugged mountains into the quiet town of Erwin, Tennessee. Our trips begin from here and work their way down river towards Limestone, Tennessee. From the town of Erwin, the river changes character significantly. The Chucky goes from being a fast flowing narrow gorge to wider softer flowing water and continues towards the French Broad River and eventually into Douglas Lake.

The Nolichucky offers anglers the ability to encounter smallmouth, trout and the occasional musky that make their home in the gin clear waters of this great river.

Seasons, weather and water levels dictate which section of the river your trip will be on. The Nolichucky will contend with any smallmouth bass river for its wonderful mountainous views and variety of fish.
