Guided Float Trips:

Float two of the best rivers on the East Coast! We use McKenzie style drift boats to float down both the Watauga and South Holston Rivers in Eastern  Tennessee. These boats are arranged with a rower’s seat in the middle for the guide and comfortable fishing seats in the front and back for one or two anglers. Floating these rivers is a highly effective tactic because you can cover much more water compared to wading. It is also more convenient during high water conditions. This is an excellent trip to target trophy trout or have the opportunity for a high fish count.

Local Wade Trips:

Our local wade trip takes place on both wild and hatchery supported trout streams in the immediate area of our shop. While walking along some of the most pristine waters in the High Country, you will have the opportunity to catch rainbow, brown, and brook trout. This is a perfect trip for beginners and those who are looking to learn the local rivers. Our guides are all Orvis Endorsed instructors and are willing to spend as much time as needed with fly fishing instruction.

Full Day Tailwater Wade Trips:

The South Holston and the Watauga Tailwaters are known as some of the most famous and complex trout fisheries in the South. When conditions allow it, wading these rivers can be the most effective way to target big fish with precision. We suggest this type of trip for our more experience anglers who are looking to hunt for the fish of a lifetime. A wade trip to the tail waters is a full day experience and includes lunch. Typically we will leave the shop around 8:00 am and return between 5:00 and 6:00 pm.

Private Water Wade Trips:

We offer half day wade trips to privately managed trophy trout water in our area. This trip provides anglers exclusive access to streams that are managed just for the production of trophy trout. The fish in these streams range from 20 to 30 inches and are known for testing the skills of all anglers. Due to the exclusiveness of this trophy water, there is an additional rod fee added to the guided trip price.
